TEAM HISTORY

In 2012, Paula and Salvador Aguilar created a youth soccer team named after Chelsea FC, aiming to expand youth soccer in the Austin area. Coached by Salvador, the team joined CAYSA and earned promotion to the WDDOA league by 2019. During this time, Paula, a police officer with the Austin Police Department, partnered with the Police Activities League of Austin (APD PAL), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preventing juvenile crime and violence through mentorship, civic service, athletic programs, and educational opportunities.

Paula led several community outreach initiatives, including the creation of free soccer programs for local elementary students, alongside Coach Salvador. These programs provided leadership opportunities for young adults and inspired the next generation of community leaders.

After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other life circumstances, Paula and Salvador are eager to resume their efforts by establishing a youth football club that emphasizes community outreach and nurtures youth who aspire to compete at the highest levels of U.S. soccer.
